After insisting she's not a Scientologist, Jennifer Lopez has sprung to the defence of the controversial religion. Lopez, who attended Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' Scientology wedding, is shocked that the religion has such a bad rep, and revealed that her father David Lopez, has been practising for 20 years. The Jenny From the Block singer explained, "My dad has been a Scientologist for 20 years. It's weird people want to paint it in a negative way." Leah Remini, a close friend of the star, is also a Scientologist. Lopez insisted, "I am Catholic. But it's just sad that people would look at it (Scientology) in that way." |
