The widow of legendary reggae singer Bob Marley, wishes to have his remains exhumed, for reburial in Ethiopia. Rita Marley mentioned to the BBC that she would like to bring him back to his "spiritual residence". Speaking of late husband's devotion to Rastafarianism, she then added "We are working on bringing his remains to Ethiopia... It is part of Bob's own mission." Rita has chosen Shashemene, 250 km south of the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa as his final resting place. Bob Marley was born in St. Ann, Jamaica in 1945. He died of cancer in 1981. The ceremony may take place next February, as a way of underlining his 60th birthday. |
