Russell Crowe to star in Robin Hood

Russell Crowe is set to star in a new version of Robin Hood.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Crowe will play the Sheriff of Nottingham in the new film. The Oscar-winning actor will play the role Alan Rickman made his own in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves in 1991.

Filming for Robin Hood is set to begin some time this year.
