Celebrities have been quick to express their grief and shock over the tragic death of Anna Nicole Smith at 39. Hugh Hefner, 80, and Rosie O'Donnell, 45, both expressed their feelings and offered condolences to Anna Nicole's family. The former Playmate was found in her hotel room in Florida; it is thought she choked and suffocated in her own vomit. When Smith was discovered, she was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Hefner, the owner of Playboy magazine, knew Smith well. He said, "I am very saddened to learn about Anna Nicole's passing. She was a dear friend who meant a great deal to the Playboy family and me personally." O'Donnell is also in shock over the death, saying, "It's a tragedy. Her son died. She has this little baby. There's obviously some kind of medication or substance involved." |
