Penelope Cruz has slammed rumours she's dating newly-single French lothario Olivier Martinez.
The Spanish actress, who was recently nominated for an Oscar for Volver, insists the pair have been friends for years and that there's nothing more to it than that. After Pen and Olivier, who split from Kylie Minogue last week, were spotted looking close at LA's Chateau Marmont Hotel, rumours started flying around that they were an item, but Penelope says she's just giving Olivier a shoulder to cry on.
Penelope said, "Olivier and I have been friends for seven years. We are very close. You can understand it's a difficult time for him right now, so I have been there for him to offer support. And it was lovely seeing him the other day - it has been such a long time. He's a great guy, but no, nothing happened." |
