It is not yet certain if a fourth instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise will be made. Terry Rossio, the man behind the first three films, says he may write a fourth screenplay. Although Pirates of the Caribbean 3, which was filmed at the same time as the second film, will open in cinemas at the end of May, Rossio is not sure that it will be the last episode. Rossio said, "It's like the fourth Indiana Jones picture - there are forces in play to make it happen, and forces in play to make it not happen." He added, "I think we will try to write a screenplay. I can't say if we'll be able to solve the challenge of making a good fourth film, or if our screenplay will be enough to get a film made." |
