A series of worldwide concerts aimed to raise awareness of global warming and climate change has been announced. 100 of the world's top musicians will play at the concerts in Johannesburg, London, Shanghai and Sydney (confirmed) as well as in unconfirmed locations in the US, Brazil, Japan and even Antarctica.
Al Gore, whose film on climate change, An Inconvenient Truth, is up for two Oscars, announced the concerts, which will feature the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Black Eyed Peas, Bon Jovi, Kelly Clarkson, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Snoop Dogg, Lenny Kravitz, the Foo Fighters, Keane, Snow Patrol, Duran Duran, Bloc Party, Paolo Nutini and possibly Muse.
The London concert is rumoured to be taking place at Wembley and will be produced by one of the top organisers of last summer's Live 8 concerts. |
