Jessica Simpson Turns Down 20 Million

American singer Jessica Simpson has declined a 20 million dollar contract  in Las Vegas.

Simpson refused the offer, which would have meant 30 weeks of concert performances in a casino.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the singer's father, and manager, Joe Simpson, demanded 1 million per week... a sum that the casino found too steep.

In addition Jessica and her husband Nick Lachey have renewed their contract with MTV for their reality series Newlyweds:  Nick & Jessica.
