The opening performances have been announced for this year's Grammy Awards. The first artists to hit the stage will be Green Day, U2, Alicia Keyes and Tim McGraw. The organisers have also revealed that Christina Milian, Ellen DeGeneres and John Travolta will be among the presenters at the evening hosted by Queen Latifah. Green Day have received six Grammy nominations, including album of the year for (American Idiot). U2 are up for three awards, one being group of the year. Alicia Keyes is a hot favourite, having gathered eight nominations for her album The Diary of Alicia Keyes, and Tim McGraw has two for Live Like You Were Dying. The 47th annual Grammy Awards, the music industry's biggest event, will be held in Los Angeles on 13 February. |
