Angelina Jolie is in Africa again to raise awareness of the genocide taking place in Darfur. As Ambassador to the United Nations, Jolie couldn't travel to Darfur itself due to the violent and unstable situation there, but she will visit refugee camps about two miles from the Sudanese border. Jolie's political advisor, Trevor Neilson, said that Angelina will not stay for more than two days, but that she wanted to assess the situation and raise awareness of the plight of refugees. Jolie, 31, has been nominated for inclusion on the Council on Foreign Relations. |
