In the latest twist to the Anna Nicole Smith burial row, Anna Nicole's mother has won her case for appeal. She will now challenge Anna's partner Howard K. Stern for the right to bury her daughter in her home state of Texas. Virgie Arthur succeeded in obtaining the right to an appeal in for the burial of her daughter, though a judge had previously ruled that Anna Nicole's body could be buried in the Bahamas, in accordance with her wishes and those of her partner. Stern wanted Anna Nicole's body to be buried where she was living before she died, and where she buried her 20-year-old son Daniel just a few months ago. Meanwhile, Stern has also been granted temporary custody of 5-month-old baby Dannielynn, and the acrimonious custody battle has been ajourned for a month. |
