Eddie Murphy was gutted not to win Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars on Sunday night, and wasn't exactly gracious in defeat...Murphy, who was hotly tipped to win a gong for his role in Dreamgirls, left the ceremony as soon as he found out the award was going to Alan Arkin for Little Miss Sunshine. Eddie's rep Arnold Robinson claimed that Murphy would have left even if he had won an Oscar: "Eddie had always planned on leaving after his category was announced to spend the rest of the evening with his family." The actor caused a real fuss outside the Kodak Theatre, making a rather ungraceful exit because he wanted to get out as fast as possible. He was accompanied by new girlfriend Tracey Edmonds. They got together after Eddie dumped pregnant Mel B, who says she's expecting his child. |
