The movie Catwoman, starring Halle Berry, is hot favourite at this year's Razzies Awards. The Razzies, which recognise the worst films of the year, have become as unavoidable as the Oscars. Catwoman, directed by frenchman Pitof, tops the board with seven nominations including worst movie, worst actress and worst director. Oliver Stone's Alexander is another strong contender, with six nomoinations. In the individual categories for worst male actor we find: Colin Farrell (Alexander); Ben Affleck (Jersey Girl & Surviving Christmas); George W. Bush (Fahrenheit 9/11); Vin Diesel (Chronicles of Riddick); and Ben Stiller (Along Came Polly. Anchorman, Dodgeball, Envy and Starsky & Hutch). Berry's competition for worst actress include Hilary Duff (Cinderella Story et Raise Your Voice), Angelina Jolie (Alexander and Taking Lives); Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (New York Minute). The 25th Annual Razzies Awards will be announced on 26 February, the day before the Oscars. |
