British group Oasis is attracting the attention of many record companies, with the upcoming expiration of their contract with Sony. According to Ireland Online, this rock group will be pursued by EMI and V2. Both labels have offered a contract of three albums valued at 28.5 million dollars. An industry source stated, "Various record labels have been waiting patiently for the contract to end. Now it's a question of who puts the most money down on the table. Everybody wants Liam and Noel (Gallagher). They are still an act who can sell millions of records."
