Actor Jack Nicholson has just confirmed that he will be doing the next opus for Martin Scorsese, The Departed. The actor will be working alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg, who had already accepted parts in the movie. The film is based on the Chinese success storyWu jian dao (Internal Affairs), which tells the story of a ghetto of gangs in Boston, one of whom (Damon), has infiltrated the police to gather information for his organisation. Bu the police are playing the same game, with one of their officers (DiCaprio) doing the same thing, bringing gang members into the police force. Nicholson will play the part of an Irish gang member. According to Warner Bros Pictures, filming will begin in April, for a release date in early 2006. |
