Avril Lavigne has slammed fellow pop princess Britney Spears for her recent antics. The 22-year-old Canadian singer says Britney only has herself to blame for her problems, and feels Brit should have been able to handle the media pressure focused on her. Lavigne, who is married to Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley, explained, "What’s happened to Britney is all down to who she is as a person. If you want a piece of this business you have to be able to deal with it." Spears filed for a divorce from husband Kevin Federline last November and recently completed a four-week rehabilitation programme in Malibu. Lavigne added, "You can’t complain about the pressures, the paparazzi, because that's the job."
