Tom Hanks is in discussions to star in Angels and Demons, the prequel to The Da Vinci Code. According to sources in the US, Hanks, 50, and filmmaker Ron Howard are in the final discussions to bring Dan Brown's other Robert Langdon novel to the big screen. In the book, Harvard professor Robert Langdon investigates an ancient group called the Illuminati, who are supposedly trying to bring down the Vatican. He uncovers a dramatic plot to blow up Vatican City and when cardinals start being murdered in Rome, it all gets messy. Angels and Demons is scheduled for a December 2008 release. |
