Julian Lennon sells part of Beatles catalogue

The son of the late John Lennon has sold part of his stake in The Beatles back catalogue.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Julian Lennon, 44, sold part of his shares to Primary Wave Music Publishing.  The songs involved in the transaction were all written by his father.

Julian Lennon is the son of Cynthia, John Lennon's first wife. His half-brother, Sean, and Lennon's widow, Yoko Ono, have control over the rest of John Lennon's extensive back catalogue.
