She's vigorously denied rumours she wants to adopt another African child, but reports continue to circulate that Madonna wants to bring home a sister for one-year-old David.
Madonna is currently visiting orphanages in Malawi, officially as part of her charity work there, and has also taken David to see his biological father Yohane Banda. She cried when she saw Yohane with his son, who she adopted last October amid widespread controversy.
Madonna visited orphanages including the institution where she found David, accompanied by the youngster and her 10-year-old daughter Lourdes. Shortly after her adoption of David, Madonna was reported to be considering adopting a Malawian girl, and according to reports she has been studying videos put together of 11 'candidates' from her London home. It is understood she then asked for a longer video of a three-year-old girl named Grace, who she is said to have visited this week. According to officials, it is unlikely she'll be taking home any children this time, and potential adoptees would have to be tested for AIDs and other diseases.
Madonna is said to have taken advice from friends Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over the last few days on building her own 'rainbow family.' |
