Photographer Larry Birkhead, who was recently named as the father of the late Anna Nicole Smith's baby, says he forgives Anna Nicole for lying about his daughter's paternity.
The tragic model named her partner, lawyer Howard K Stern, as the father of six-month-old Dannielynn when she was born in the Bahamas, but DNA tests carried out after Anna's tragic demise have proved her ex-boyfriend is definitely the father.
It is unclear how long Smith and Birkhead were together for; her longtime attorney Howard K. Stern maintains he and Anna were in a secret relationship for a long time, but he also believed he was Dannielynn's father and will now hand over custody of the tot to Birkhead.
Birkhead revealed to OK! magazine that he's forgiven Anna Nicole for lying. He said, "I have hurt about it, but she's gone, so where am I going to direct that hurt to? I can't really hold that inside. I think she would have come around and we're almost to the point in California where she would have been ordered to do the DNA test and I just wish that it would have happened sooner, then maybe I would have been allowed to be around her. Perhaps I could've done something to help her."
Birkhead has changed his daughter's name from Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern to Dannielynn Hope Birkhead, retaining the name her mother chose for her, which is a tribute to her dead son Daniel. |
