Lawyers for Paris Hilton have filed an appeal against her prison sentence. After the verdict on her case on Friday, the 26-year-old heiress must spend 45 days behind bars for driving with a suspended licence, starting in June. After the ruling, Hilton told members of the media that she told the truth during her hearing, and that she feels the punishment is cruel. If the appeal is rejected, the Simple Life star will begin serving her time in a Los Angeles prison on June 5th. Hilton has a string of driving offences but was caught speeding and driving with no headlights on a suspended licence. We hope she's got some good lawyers... |
