Singer Michael Jackson was rushed to a hospital this morning on his way to court in Santa Monica, California.

The judge for Jackson's trial made the announcement, but did not reveal the reasons for his hospitalisation.

This event has stopped the jury selection that was scheduled to continue today.

The star was taken to Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria.

Jackson faces 10 charges of sexual molestation of a minor.
