There is talk of a U2 song becoming the campaign tune for US Senator Hillary Clinton. The Irish band are one of many acts who have contributed a long to the list, which includes work by The Staple Singers, The Temptations, Shania Twain, K.T. Tunstall, Smash Mouth, Jesus Jones and notorious anti-Bush act The Dixie Chicks.
The Senator will use the song that gains the most votes on her official website her her presidential campaign. There are two U2 songs on the list, City of Blinding Lights and Beautiful Day. In 1992, Bill Clinton's campaign tune was Fleetwood Mac's Don't Stop. |
