Nicole Richie is single after splitting up with fiancé Joel Madden.

According to sources, the 25-year-old socialite and Good Charlotte singer Madden, 28, have gone their separate ways. According to the source, the couple split after the MTV Video Awards in Australia. Madden is said to have dumped Nicole because she was "too clingy."
