Heiress Paris Hilton will not contest her prison sentence. The 26-year-old will serve 23 days of her original 45-day sentence behind bars, starting on June 5th. On Thursday, a lawyer for Hilton told the Los Angeles court that she is no longer planning to appeal. The Simple Life star must report to a detention centre in Lynwood, near Los Angeles, to start her sentence. She was found guilty of violating her probation, and driving her car with a suspended license. The Lynwood centre is home to 2,200 prisoners. Hilton will only be able to leave her cell for an hour each day to watch television or make phone calls. |
