Victoria Beckham has certainly been the driving force behind the Beckham clan's big move to California this summer, but since getting a recall from England coach Steve McClaren, David Beckham is said to be thinking twice about uprooting to the US.
"He's starting to get cold feet," said a source. "He would much rather than anything else be with his family in Hertfordshire. He's a home-loving boy."
When Becks agreed to the million-dollar move to California, it seemed he was entering the twilight years of his footballing career. He'd been dropped by England and Real Madrid, but has since rejuvenated his career and could get the nod to play for England against Estonia and Brazil in June. At a farewell dinner in Madrid, players told Becks he'll be sorely missed and he promised to return to Madrid as often as he can to see his footballing "family" there.
Victoria has made no secret of her desire to launch her career in the US, but her husband is less comfortable about letting TV cameras into their home. And will David really be happy playing for a side in a country where football isn't even a national sport when he could still be playing Premiership football? |
