A Harry Potter theme park is to open in the United States. Inspired by the adventures of the young wizard, the park, which will be called The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, will open in Florida in 2009. The author of the Harry Potter books, JK Rowling, is thrilled about the venture. She told the BBC, "The plans I've seen look incredibly exciting, and I don't think fans of the books or films will be disappointed." The Harry Potter books have been translated into 65 languages and have sold more than 325 million copies. The final instalment of the series will be released on July 21st. In addition to the novels, film adaptations have earned more than $3.5 million. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix opens in cinemas on July 13th. |
