Emma Thompson is set to play Dustin Hoffman's love interest in a new romantic comedy.
Hoffman will star as a downcast man who meets an unlikely companion while in London for his daughter's wedding in 'Last Chance Harvey'. The independent film will be directed by BAFTA-winning British filmmaker Joel Hopkins, who also wrote the screenplay. Hopkins penned the story with Hoffman and Thompson in mind for the lead roles.
This is not the first time 69-year-old Hoffman and Thompson have starred together. The Oscar-winning pair both appeared in last year's Will Ferrell comedy 'Stranger Than Fiction'.
Thompson, 48, features as Professor Sybil Trelawney in the fifth Harry Potter film 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix', set to hit cinemas worldwide next month.
Meanwhile, Hoffman stars opposite Natalie Portman and Jason Bateman in fantasy 'Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium', due to be released at the end of the year. |
