Paris Hilton's week from hell has just got a lot worse. After entering prison on Sunday night to begin serving her sentence for violating suspension of her driving license, the heiress has now learned she's been dropped by her record label.
Warner Records are understood to have dumped the wannabe pop singer because of poor record sales of her debut album Paris and the damage done to her image by her conviction. Thousands of dollars went into recording Paris' album, a promotional tour and video for Stars Are Blind, but despite the hype the record-buying public weren't so keen on her offerings. A spokesperson for the record label told IOL, "We are not expecting any new Paris Hilton material in the foreseeable future." Paris is expected to spend 23 days behind bars in a California detention centre. She was visited by her psychiatrist and attorney this week.
