Nicole Richie is terrified of the idea of being behind bars like Paris Hilton. The star faces the possibility of a jail sentence after her latest arrest of driving while intoxicated last December. Richie told David Letterman, "I'M just keeping my fingers crossed, and of course, I'M scared also, but I'M willing to face whatever consequences come my way, and I take responsibility for what I've done." The 25 year-old star pled not guilty in her preliminary hearing, but police reports show that she had admitted to them that she had been taking antidepressant drugs and smoking marijuana at the time of the arrest. If found guilty, Richie could be incarcerated, as it would not be her first offence. In 2003, she was found guilty of heroin possession. The Simple Life star will learn her fate at the end of the month. |
