A judge has ordered Paris Hilton to return to prison to serve a full 45-day sentence. After being released on home detention attached to an electronic tagging system for unspecified "medical" reasons, the 26-year-old socialite was ordered back to court - but failed to appear. Hilton tried to stage a conference call-style court appearance but the judge was far from impressed and promptly ordered her back to prison.
The Los Angeles judge ordered Hilton to return to jail to serve the remainder of her sentence, reversing a sheriff's decision to have her released. It has been reported that Hilton's grandfather William Barron Hilton donated money to the same sheriff last year during his election campaign.
Since Paris' shock release, the Los Angeles supervisor's office had received more than 500 complaints from citizens who believed Hilton had been given special treatment due to her celebrity status. |
