Jennifer Aniston is currently working on a musical film for DreamWorks. The working title is Goree Girls, and Aniston may have a role in the film, in addition to producing. The project was inspired by the true story of eight female prisoners in the 1940s who decided to form a country music band. Aniston and her production partner, Kristin Hahn, have purchased the film rights of the article by Skip Hollandsworth called "O Sister Where Art Thou", which was released in the Texas Monthly in May 2003. Margaret Nagle will write the film screenplay, and the studio is currently looking for a director. |
