American actor Ben Affleck will play the role of the first actor to bring Superman to television during the 1950's. Affleck will play George Reeves, the first Superman, for the film Truth, Justice and the American Way. The star will join Diane Lane (Toni Mannix) and Adrien Brody, who will play a detective. Truth, Justice and the American Way recounts the true story of a detective who researches the mysterious death in 1959, of the actor (Affleck), who played the role on television. Shooting begins for the movie next summer. The television director Allen Coulter (The Sopranos, Sex and the City, The X-Files) will direct his first film. |
