Tiger Woods has announced on his Internet site that he is now a father. On Monday, Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Sam Alexis. Woods wrote on his website that both mother and child are doing well. He added that he can't wait to show his daughter off to his family and friends. Woods also expressed that he appreciates the kind words and wishes, but asks that everyone respect his family's privacy at this time. Last December, on his 31st birthday, Tiger Woods announced that his wife was expecting a child. The two met at the British Open in 2001 and got married in 2005. Nordegren is a former nanny and ex-model. |
