The star of the television series Simple Life, Nicole Richie, will face charges of driving while intoxicated next month. The star will be in a Los Angeles court on July 11 to face the charge of driving her car under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The 25 year-old will plead not guilty to the charges. Richie was arrested last December. If she is found guilty, she could face a prison sentence of up to one year. In 2003, the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie was arrested for the same reason. Richie's friend and Simple Life co-star, Paris Hilton, is currently serving a prison sentence for driving while on a suspended driver's license. |
