The Spice Girls are planning to re-release their movie 'Spice World' to coincide with their reunion.
The girl group - who are set to officially announce their comeback today(28.06.07) with a world tour, including dates in Los Angeles and London - want the movie back in cinemas to promote their upcoming concerts.
According to reports, the girls - Emma Bunton, Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell and Mel B - don't want their reunion to be steeped in 90s nostalgia and are keen to attract a new generation of fans.
A source said: "They want this comeback to be the mother of all comebacks. They want today's kids to be swept up by Girl Power."
A new film, focusing on the hotly-anticipated reunion, is also being proposed. The movie will be a mixture of documentary footage from the tour and scenes acted out by the five-piece.
Rumours of a Spice Girls reunion have been rife on the showbiz radar for months, with Victoria believed to be the driving force. |
