Britney Spears is not dating her bodyguard.
The 'Toxic' singer, who was reportedly seen having a romantic dinner with Daimon Shippen last week, has a purely professional relationship with the burly security guard.
A source told People magazine: "He's her bodyguard and nanny. They're not dating. Daimon is funny, but on the quiet side. He is tickled by all the attention, but he really wants to focus on his job. He just wants to take care of Britney and her kids."
Britney and Daimon have been spotted alone together several times this month.
The pair enjoyed a candlelit dinner in the Windows Lounge of Los Angeles' Four Seasons hotel last Wednesday (04.07.07) after which Daimon reportedly stayed the night at her Beverly Hills mansion.
Britney and Daimon also attended a Los Angeles performance of hit musical 'Wicked', before having drinks at Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont hotel last Thursday (05.07.07).
On Sunday (08.07.07), the bodyguard accompanied the singer - who has two sons, 22-month-old Sean Preston and 10-month-old Jayden James, with her estranged husband Kevin Federline - to church.
Britney, 25, carried sleeping Jayden while Damon carried Sean and comforted him when he started crying.
A source explained: "Britney doesn't have a nanny. When the kids are with her she takes care of them and she is a very hands-on mom.
Daimon also sometimes helps her out. She really would like to have them for more time than she does but she is willing to live with the agreement with Kevin that she has now." |
