Nicolas Cage to Play The Wicker Man

The next Nicholas Cage film will be a remake of the 1973 film The Wicker Man, produced by Millennium Films, Equity Pictures and Emmett/Furla Films, which will tell the story of a police officer, searching for a missing girl on an island off the coast of Maine.  His hopes of unraveling the girl's disappearance become increasingly shaky when he discovers evidence of pagan rituals.

The film will be directed by Neil LaBute, and shooting starts July 15th in Vancouver.
