Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank is in negotiations to star in the horror film The Reaping for Warner Bros. Pictures and Dark Castle Entertainment, brainchild of Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis. It will be a supernatural tale, based around a myth debunker (Swank), who travels to a small, religious town in Texas to investigate strange events that echo the 10 biblical plagues. James Cox will be directing the project. Dark Castle has turned out such horror films as House on Haunted Hill, Thirteen Ghosts, Ghost Ship, and Gothika. Swank is currently preparing to start work on The Black Dahlia for Brian De Palma, after winning the Oscar for best actress for Million Dollar Baby, an award which she had previously won for Boys Don't Cry in 2000. |
