Published by chereesofem

Harry Potter's Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the school movie fans would most like to attend.

The fictional school, which features in the hit movies based on J.K. Rowling's magical book series, took 38 per cent of the vote in a survey which asked 3,000 film enthusiasts 'Which school from the movies would you like to return to this September?'.

The poll - compiled by cinema portal www.pearlanddean.com - saw Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, the training school for mutants from the 'X-Men' films, claim second place with 17 per cent.

In third position was fictional girls-only boarding school St. Trinian's, whose pupils ran havoc in the slapstick comedy franchise of the 50s and 60s.

Rydell High School, where love-struck teenagers Danny and Sandy where reunited after a summer fling in 'Grease', came in fourth with eight per cent, while Horace Green Preparatory School, from Jack Black's comedy 'The School of Rock' rounded off the top five with seven per cent.

The top 10 also featured South Park Elementary, from the animated movie 'South Park The Movie: Bigger, Longer and Uncut', Michael J. Fox's Hill Valley High School in time-travelling hit movie 'Back to the Future', and the New York City High School For Performing Arts, attended by the ambitious characters of hit musical 'Fame'.

Shermer High School, where Emilio Estevez and his fellow wayward classmates endured a morning detention in 'The Breakfast Club' was in ninth place, while Matthew Broderick's Lake Forest High School in 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' rounded off the top 10.
