Mel Gibson has recieved an award for his film The Passion of the Christ, which was voted as Favorite Film of the Year by the readers of USA Today, at a recent convention of cinema owners. The successful movie took in more than $350 million at the box offices, even though according to Gibson, showing it was often risky. The director went on to discuss the controversy that surrounded the film, before praising Newsmarket Films, the independent company that distributed the film, which otherwise may not have made it to our screens. |
