Nicole Richie has admitted herself to a treatment centre to beat her alcohol addiction. According to People magazine, the Simple Life star, who is now 6 months pregnant, started an 18-month long treatment programme for her problems with alcohol. The treatment consists of 52 hours of group therapy, daily meetings individually, and 12 hours of sensitisation about the effects of alcohol. Richie, 26, who is the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie, was arrested last December for driving under the influence of alcohol. In July she was found guilty and sentenced to four days in prison, a fine in the amount of $2048, and ordered to go through a treatment programme. On August 24th, she served 82 minutes in prison. |
