Actor Tom Sizemore has been sentenced to two years in prison for failing drug tests while being on probation. Sizemore, 42, tested positive for drugs seven times, and then failed to show up for an eighth test during his probation for a domestic violence conviction involving former girlfriend, Heidi Fleiss. Sizemore sobbed and pleaded for another chance before being given his sentence. The actor stated that he is "engaged in a struggle right now to regain the better part of who I am...I never thought I had this disease." "I assure Your Honour that I'M not acting now. I'M not acting, I'M begging, I'M beseeching you. I can't imagine my future without performing," he said. He will now spend time in a drug treatment facility. If he refuses treatment, he could spend 2 years behind bars. Tom Sizemore is best known for his films Saving Private Ryan, True Romance, Pearl Harbor and Black Hawk Down. |
