Tom Cruise unable to say "no" to Suri

Tom Cruise unable to say "no" to Suri - Tom Cruise
Published by chereesofem

Tom Cruise can't say no to his daughter Suri because Scientology forbids it.

The 'Top Gun' star and his wife Katie Holmes are encouraged by the sci-fi cult, of which they are both devout followers, to "support" their 18-month-old child, not scold her.

A source said: "Tom and Katie have a hard time saying no to Suri. It's all about being positive and supportive. Scientology advises parents to try to be the child's friend. They don't scold their children, but instead explain that bad behaviour is the 'wrong action'.

"Tom and Katie are very lenient with Suri and don't like to give her too many rules. Suri pretty much does whatever she wants, whenever she wants. If she fusses before bed, they let her stay up later. If they want her to go swimming and she cries, they'll take her out. If she whines about food, they'll ask her what else she wants to eat. They always want to please her."

Suri, who is still too young to take Scientology classes, is also constantly surrounded by Scientologists and her two nannies are members of the 'religion'.

The source added to Us Weekly magazine: "Tom doesn't like associating with people who aren't Scientologists."

Tom, who has been hailed by leaders of the faith as the "chosen one", reportedly sent his two adopted teenage children to Scientology summer camp this year.

A source revealed: "The summer camp is part of Scientology's 'get them while they're young' campaign."

A Scientology representative has denied the faith interferes with the disciplining of its followers' children.

The representative said: "How a parent disciplines their child is left up to the parent."
