Singer and actress Courtney Love will play porn superstar Linda Lovelace in the new film Lovelace, about the star's heyday in the seventies. According to the magazine Variety, Love will play Linda Boreman, alias Lovelace, who became a legend after starring in the porn movie Deep Throat in 1972. Despite being banned in 23 American states, the film generated more than $600 million in revenues. Linda Lovelace, a married woman from New York, has always claimed that she was never paid for her part in the film, and went on to become a key figure in the American feminist movement. Lovelace died at the age of 53 in a road accident, in April 2002.
