Mariah Carey Takes Times Square

Mariah Carey is planning a live performance in New's York's Times Square to promote the release of her new CD The Emancipation of Mimi.

The star is hoping to pull the biggest non-New Year's Eve concert audience ever for the famous venue.

Scheduled for April 12th, the show will also be broadcast live on television.
