No trial for Britney

Britney Spears will not be charged for hitting another car and leaving the scene.

The 25-year-old singer was not at the hearing that took place in Van Nuys, California. She was defended by her lawyer Michael J. Flanagan.

Kim Robard-Rifkin, the owner of the Mercedes-Benz that was hit by Spears on August 6 in a parking lot in San Fernando Valley, accepted a sum of $1000.00, to repair her car.

Spears' lawyer stated, "Robard-Rifkin is very sympathetic toward Britney and hopes the best for her."
