Exasperated by the latest rumours, singer Britney Spears responded to the media via her website on Wednesday. The star posted an open letter to the public, rubbishing stories about her alleged pregnancy and marital problems. In a direct attack on American magazines Us Weekly and Star, Spears branded their work hypocritical and untrue, adding that the magazines don't seem to be bothered whether a story is true or not. Star and Us Weekly have both reported that the star is 3 months pregnant and had visited a doctor, alongside pictures revealing Spears' belly and 'enlarged' breasts as proof of her pregnancy. "Your employees are a reflection of your magazine," Spears wrote in her letter. "I'M really concerned about the people you hire to work at your companies." Both magazines hit back and published responses, with Us Weekly writing: "Unlike other magazines that pay for access to Britney, the writers at Us Weekly have high journalistic standards and do their own researching and reporting for all stories. Our coverage of Britney has proven to be accurate."
