Fox 2000 Pictures is currently in talks with director Alfonso Cuaron, for the film adaptation of Yann Martel's bestseller Life of Pi . Cuaron's agent contacted Fox 2000 when director M. Night Shyamalan turned his back on the project that his names has been linked with since October 2003. Life of Pi tells the story of a young boy, who survives a shipwreck, only to find himself trapped in a lifeboat, battling the elements along with an orangutan, a tiger, a zebra and a hyena. Cuaron (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) is currently looking for a distributor for his next film, Children of Men. |
