According to The Sun , Daniel Craig has been given the covetted role of agent 007. The British actor, 37, will play the famous secret agent James Bond in the next three films of the series, staring with the next movie, entitled Casino Royale. He follows Pierce Brosnan, who was dropped after the last Bond film. Daniel Craig will sign the 10-year contract sometime in the next few weeks. Craig becomes the sixth actor to play agent 007, following in the footsteps of Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan, who have all played the character created by Ian Flemming. Daniel Craig is known for his work in the films Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and more recently, The Jacket. |
